Pre-Competition - "Tropical Storms"

$235 (Includes $85 Annual Team Registratoin plus the $150 fee for the 6 week program)

We are pleased to offer an opportunity for our aspiring Hurricane Swimmers to refine their skills before moving on the team with the Cat 1 Practice Group.  Our Pre-Competition swimmers should be enthusiastic about swimming and be able to swim 15 yards unassisted. They will work on extending their distance, and learning their freestyle and backstroke technique. Pre-Competition swimmers are not eligible to participate in meets, but are welcome to come cheer for the Hurricane swimmers. This group will offer coaching in a small group setting by our Hurricane coaches to ensure individual attention for the swimmers. Swimmers are expected to attend all practices to ensure they get the maximum benefit of the coaching and to help them meet the requirements for Category 1.

This group has a very limited enrollment. Priority goes to swimmers that have a coach recommendation from our TigerSharks summer program and want to swim year-round, and to our current Hurricane families. Swimmers who have not recently completed the TigerSharks summer program will need to schedule a water safety evaluation with our coaches.The minimum age for this group is 4 years old.

Equipment: swim suit, goggles, fins.

Note: This is not a learn-to-swim or water safety instructional program. This is intended for children who already have some swimming ability but may not quite meet the criteria for joining our year-round practice groups.
